Napo, Ecuador.
Its capital is Tena. The province contains the Napo River. The thick rainforest is home to many natives that remain isolated by preference, descendants of those who fled the Spanish invasion in the Andes, and the Incas years before. This province is one of the many located in Ecuador’s section of the Amazon Rainforest. In Napo province are also Antisana Ecological Reserve and Limoncocha National Biological Reserve.

Group Traveller

We had a group of 9 of us whitewater kayaking for about 12 days. We found the team at Kayak Ecuador really enthusiastic, flexible, knowledgeable and professional for our trip. Our trip was fantastic- across the Quijos, Cosanga, Jatan Yacu, Piatua, Jondachi, Hollin, Missahualli and Anzu Rivers.

The paddling was great – and if you do a trip like this, highly recommended to get the video package as well – great footage and very professionally edited.

Thanks to Santi, Gregory, Pablo, Diego, Martin, Dani and Philippe for a great trip!

If you want an all inclusive and worry free trip to paddle the amazing rivers of Ecuador, Kayak Ecuador is the place to go! We had full service from being picked up at the airport, all meals and lodging included, including some delicious riverside lunches made by Santi. The week was a steady progression of river difficulty, starting on class III and progressing with the ability of our group. Santi and Tuti, our local Ecuadorian guides, were knowledgeable and encouraging. You get to feel like a real local by eating at the local restaurants and visiting the special places that you wouldn’t likely see on the more touristy or non-local run trips. Just bring some gear and some excitement and Kayak Ecuador will take care of the rest!

My boyfriend and I took a full-day kayaking trip with Santiago and Felipe of Kayak Ecuador. They encouraged us to stop by the shop the day before to go over the details, so we did. They gave us a lot of helpful info and told us what to expect. The day of the trip was a blast and both guides were fantastic. They also provided a delicious lunch with the freshest pineapple I have ever tasted. Thanks guys for a great trip!
