Jumping and swimming in the refreshing waters of el Gran Cañon while being surrounded by untouched jungle makes you feel like you are in a movie because the beauty feels unreal!
The plants, flowers, insects, and animals seen and talked about on the jungle walk is an educational experience that you can’t see or get anywhere else. Jumping and swimming in the refreshing waters of el Gran Cañon while being surrounded by untouched jungle makes you feel like you are in a movie because the beauty feels unreal.
We start this walk at the Community of Mondayacu in the E45. This amazing Kichuwa Community has made a jungle path that connects the Gran Cañon to the road in only 30- 45 minutes walk
After 40 minutes of jungle walk you will arrive to the Gran Canon, this place has an amazing natural swimming hole and a 25 meter cave. Your guide will show you this amazing place for about one hour before the walk back to the road.
The walk is fairly easy but it can be muddy and slippery so we recommend good shoes for the walk.
Because the Gran Canon is close to the Jondachi river the walk is only downhill and after the visit the walk is only up hill, so be ready to walk for about one and half hours.
